Why is Weight So Important in a Safe?
Weight usually indicates quality. The heavier the safe, the more steel used, the better the material used, etc… When comparing a Hollon safe to another brand, look for the closest safe the competitor has in terms of size and of volume. Then get the unit weight per volume be dividing the weight of the safe by the cubic feet (or inches) of the safe (for example 5lbs per cubic foot).
