Description

The American Security BF2116 safe is a UL certified RSC I burglary rated safe with 1 hour fire resistant (up to 1700F). This made in the USA safe offers good fire and burglary protection at a value.

The door to the AMSEC BF2116 safe has a ½ inch solid steel plate door with an overall door thickness of 3.5 inches and is filled with a unique proprietary fire and burglary resistant material.

The door has 3 1-inch solid steel chrome plated locking bolts, as well as a full length dead bar along the hinged side of the door that locks into the safe body. This not only prevents pry attacks from succeeding but stops the door from being removed even if the hinges are cut off. Not that it matters much, the safe comes with heavy duty, steel hinges for smooth door opening and closing.

The door also has a silicone foam seal with heat-expanding intumescent seal to help keep smoke or water out of your safe in the event of a fire.

The standard lock is a UL listed Group II combination lock with a spring-loaded re-lock mechanism. The BF 2116 has an additional ¼ inch heavy duty carburized hard plate behind the lock. That makes a total of ¾ inches of steel between a wood be intruder and the lock body.

The body of the BF2116 AMSEC safe is 2-5/8 inch thick, with combined outer and inner steel plates of 1/8 of an inch each for ¼ inch of total steel. The walls are filled with their proprietary blend material as well, creating a fire and burglary resistant structure.

There is a recessed anchor hold and mounting hardware provided to anchor the safe.

The American security BF safe line has multiple dial and electronic lock options. It can also be customized and made into one of the best-looking safes on the market. Chrome, Brass or Black Nickel hardware can be selected, the safe comes with a plush velour interior, and the safe body color can be customized with several high-gloss or textured paint options.
