CE1814 Description

Why choose a high security safe from the AMVAULT CE line? Well, those big box store safes won’t stop anyone from getting into your property. The next level up are the UL B-rated safes which represent a huge jump in security or the UL RSC burglary rated safes which carry a UL burglary resistant certification. Both of these safes are designed to withstand break-in attempts (watch our video Safe Burglary Ratings) and are adequate for many needs. But, if you have high-value contents (valued at over $20,000) or if you need to meet insurance requirements for your valuables, you will want at least a UL TL-15 burglary-rated, high-security safe.

The American Security CE1814 safe underwent extreme testing by UL rated experts using not only basic tools like hand tools and picking tools, but also mechanical/portable electric tools, carbide drills, grinding points and pressure applying devices and mechanisms to achieve its UL TL-15 high security rating.

In addition to extreme burglary resistance, the AMSEC CE1814 AMVAULT safe provides a UL rated fire rating up to 1850F degrees external temperature to protect your contents against fire, ensuring the safe interior doesn't exceed 350F degrees (watch our video on Fire Ratings).

There is no substitute for steel in a high-end American Made safe like the American Security CE1814. This safe features a door of overall thickness of 6 inches, with a 3 inch barrier defense of outer and inner steel plates making a single structure that encloses a proprietary composite fire resistant material created from cements, mettle nuggets, and steel fibers to help withstand concentrated attacks from sophisticated equipment. The door on the AMVAULT CE1814 features adjustable hinges and a unique oil-impregnated bearing for long lasting easy and smooth door operation.

The CE1814 AMVAULT has a formed body with a protective thickness of 3.5 inches, and filled with the same proprietary concrete/metal slurry as the door. It also features a re-enforced drill resistant door frame which protects the door and each bolt chamber from side attacks and a special inner barrier construction that protects from peeling attacks.

Also included are high strength adjustable shelves, and the body can be either parchment in color or finished in a dark gray powder coat.

The locking mechanism on the CE1814 safe by American Security is equipped with 6 massive 1.5 inch diameter chrome plated solid steel active bolts. The entire boltwork mechanism is protected by a spring-operated detent system where the bolts stay retracted when the safe is open and re-engage automatically to the locked position when the door is closed.

The lock body included is a UL listed Group 2M, key changeable, combination lock. It's protected by a massive drill shattering hard plate and two additional spring loaded relockers.

All and all, this made in the USA safe is one heck of a good safe.
