The Hollon CS-12E Crescent Shield gun safe provides high security and fire protection at a great value. It is an Assembled in the USA gun safe.

The CS-12E has a 75-minute fire rating keeping the internal temperature of the safe below 350F, to protect your important paperwork, while exposed to external temperatures of up to 1400F degrees. Many gun safes are only rated to 1200F external temperatures, making the Crescent Shield safe line significantly better at protecting your flammable valuables.

It achieves this with layers of fire board material and fire-resistant caulking to protect the contents inside the safe. The door frame also has the intumescent fire seal that expands when heated, keeping smoke and sprayed water from entering the safe during the course of a fire.

The Hollon CS gun safe line features a body made of 12-gauge steel. The door on the CS-12E gun safe has massive 1.5 inch active bolts around the top, active edge, and bottom of the safe door. It also has 1.5-inch inactive boltwork protecting the hinge edge.

Behind the door, the lock body is protected with a drill and ballistic resistant hard plate that Hollon says you’d have to melt to penetrate the lock pack. The bolt work is all U-channel constructed for maximum lifespan (other safes at this price point likely use thin rods; U-channel rods offer more durability and less likely to be damaged by force).

Even at this price point, Hollon uses their special vault-rated, never-sag hinges that cost Hollon about 500% more to install than typical hinges found on competing similarly priced rifle safes.

The Hollon CS 12 gun safe also features a UL listed Type 1 electronic lock, the highest rated. A Group 2 combination dial lock may be substituted if preferred (CS-12C).

The interior of the Hollon Crescent Shield CS12 gun safe can comfortably hold up to 12 guns (without scopes), and all surfaces are lined with plush velour to protect from scratches.

The interior features an inner door pocket organizer made of long-lasting canvas to help maximize your storage needs. The lower shelves are configurable and can be used entirely as shelving, or each side (or both sides) can be used for long guns depending on your needs.

There is also a top shelf that is adjustable and features steel reinforcement not found in competing brands. This steel allows the shelf to support up to 50 lbs.

Now included with the Hollon CS-12E gun safe is a lighting kit (a $150 value), and it comes with a silicate dehumidifier bag to keep the safe contents dry.

The are 4 bolt holes in the floor of the safe to help secure it if desired (boltwork provided for concrete installations).
