The BFX series offers a robust 3/8-inch solid steel door plate, complemented by an additional 1/4-inch hard plate between the lock body and door plate. The safe's exterior is two inches thick, consisting of an outer 11-gauge metal layer and an inner 12-gauge layer, which together create an approximate 1/4-inch steel barrier.

The BFX-7250 also includes a newly designed gear-driven, active 4-way bolt system. This boltwork secures and deadlocks the door on all four sides. The gear-driven boltwork features 360-degree handle rotation for the smooth protraction of the long, solid steel locking bolts into the safe's frame, providing enhanced protection against pry attacks. This boltwork is specifically engineered to withstand sledgehammer and crowbar assaults.
